Kris Van Geel was born in the late ’70s. In his teenage years, he enjoyed making glass engravings with his father. This led unknowingly to much more.

While he was studying at the Art Academy of Geel, he was taken under the wing of David de Graef as a painter in his studio. This launched his career as a flash tattoo artist and painter on canvas. In 2002 he became a professional artist who even went abroad with his tattoos and won different awards. You can visit his tattoo shop for a tattoo in many different styles, but like every artist, he does have a favorite style. Black and grey portraits and Japanese tattoos get his preference. As a painter, he has his preferred style as well. He likes to use vivid colors and all his paintings have a realistic touch. You can look at them at the gallery ‘Kunst vol Leven’ and his tattoos at the tattoo shop "tattoo-art by Kris Van Geel" in Balen.
